For want of a nail, the shoe was lost,,,
For want of a shoe, the horse was lost…
For want of a horse, the rider was lost…
For want of a rider, the battle was lost…
For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost…
And all for the want of a nail
Zetor being a client, Hall PR recently visited Inis Oirr expressly to see if the islanders’ fondness for Zetor tractors is as strong as it ever was. Good news is: it is…Zetors are everywhere to be seen on the island.
One was even seen towing a tourist trailer badged ‘Craggy Ecumenical’ tours – the rusting hull of the Plassey shipwreck used in ‘Father Ted’ being one of the sights to see on Inis Oirr.
While there, we pictured a blacksmith shoeing a horse islanders use to pull a carriage in which tourists are taken on tours of the island…and we got all of the background we needed to update a feature story about Zetor and Inis Oirr we had published in a major European magazine some years ago.
As for the fable, if it has any lesson in PR it is this: Take care of the little things and chances are the big things will go well too!
