Remembering the plight of Irish amputees…

…in making a link between European Limb Loss Day and the motor industry through a press statement in which Seamus Ryan, a leading figure in the trade and an amputee, called on colleagues to remind politicians of the very special needs that amputees have – mobility being high on the list. Seamus reminded us that there are some 4,000 amputees in Ireland who depend on Government to protect the benefits they get, despite difficult economic conditions.

‘During my time in the motor industry, they represented a small but important client base whose needs I was happy to meet, little knowing that, one day, I would be one of them’ he said.
